Female Choreography Commissions, World Premieres, and Programming
- Julia Bentkowska and Julia Litwin for Venice Biennale – Program: Biennale College Choreographers – new creations
- July 29, 2026 – July 30, 2026: the Venice Biennale will present Biennale College Choreographers – new creations, a program featuring new creations by Julia Bentkowska (female) & Julia Litwin (female), and Amine Mazhoud (male).
- Sasha Waltz & Guests at Troika Dance – Program: Beethoven 7
- September 3, 2026 – September 6, 2026: Sasha Waltz & Guests will be at Troika Dance and will present Beethoven 7, a program featuring a new work by Sasha Waltz (female).
- Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater at New York City Center
- December 2, 2026 – January 3, 2027: Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will be in residence at the New York City Center and will present a program featuring world premiere works by Yin Yue (female) and Jamar Roberts (male), alongside works by William Forsythe (male), Judith Jamison (female), and Alvin Ailey (male).
Leadership Changes
- Lucy Guerin Announces Departure from Lucy Guerin Inc.
- On June 22, 2026, Lucy Guerin (female) announced her departure as Artistic Director and Co-CEO of Lucy Guerin Inc., effective at the end of 2026. A search for her successor will be conducted in early 2027.
