• Rachelle Anaïs Scott and Sidonie Fossé for Bern Ballet – Program: Metaphysics
  • April 18, 2026 – June 11, 2026: Bern Ballet will present Metaphysics, a program featuring new works by Rachelle Anaïs Scott (female) and Sidonie Fossé (female).
• Julianna Rubio Slager for Ballet 5:8 – Program: The Curious Life Of Edgar Allen Poe
  • On April 18, 2026, Ballet 5:8 will present The Curious Life of Edgar Allen Poe, an evening-length world premiere by Julianna Rubio Slager (female).
• Iratxe Ansa for Ballet de l’Opéra de Bordeaux – Program: Joy
  • April 22, 2026 – April 30, 2026: Ballet de l’Opéra de Bordeaux will present Joy, a program featuring a world premiere work by choreographic duo Iratxe Ansa (female) and Igor Bacovich (male), alongside works by Alexander Ekman (male), and Justin Peck (male)
• Cassi Abranches, Marianela Boán, and Stephanie Martinez for Ballet Hispánico – Program: MUJERES: Women in Motion
  • April 23, 2026 – April 26, 2026: Ballet Hispánico will present their 2026 New York City Center season MUJERES: Women in Motion. The program will feature works by Cassi Abranches (female), Marianela Boán (female), and Stephanie Martinez (female). 
• Irene Rodríguez for Compañía Irene Rodríguez at Jacob’s Pillow – Program: Flamenco Soul
  • April 24, 2026 – April 26, 2026: Compañía Irene Rodríguez will be in residence at Jacob’s Pillow to present Flamenco Soul,  a world premiere work by Irene Rodríguez (female).

• Laura O’Malley, Ashley Baker, Izzy Urbano and Lydia Acker for Ballet Idaho Trainee Program – Program: Emergence
  • On April 25, 2026, Ballet Idaho will present Emergence, a program featuring world premiere works by Laura O’Malley (female) and Glenn Edgerton (male) alongside works by Ashley Baker (female), Izzy Urbano (female) and Lydia Acker (female). The company will also perform La Bayadere staged by Stephanie Orza (female).
• Sirui Liu for Mutual Dance Theatre – Program: Modern Mix 26
  • May 1, 2026 – May 2, 2026: Mutual Dance Theatre will present Modern Mix 26, a program featuring new works by Sirui Liu (female), Nat Wilson (he/they), Shane Ohmer (male) and Joshua Ishmon (male). 
• Bobbi Jene Smith for Ballet BC – Program: Unity
  • May 7, 2026 – May 9, 2026: Ballet BC will present Unity, a program featuring an evening-length world premiere work by choreographic duo Bobbi Jene Smith (female) and Or Schraiber (male).
• Claire Mazza for East Coast Contemporary Ballet – Program: Pathways
  • May 15, 2026 – May 17, 2026: East Coast Contemporary Ballet will present Pathways, a program featuring world premiere works by Claire Mazza (female) and Alejandro Ulloa (male).
• Rena Butler for Gauthier Dance at Jacobs Pillow
  • July 29, 2026 – August 2, 2026: Gauthier Dance will be in residence at Jacobs Pillow, and will present a program featuring a world premiere work by Rena Butler (Female), alongside US premieres by Mauro Bigonzetti (male), Virginie Brunelle (female), Stijn Celis (male), Dominique Dumais (female), Johan Inger (male), Benjamin Millepied (male), Barak Marshall (male), and Sofia Nappi (female), The second half of the evening will feature works by Sharon Eyal (female), Eric Gauthier (male), and Andonis Foniadakis (male). 
• Hope Boykin for Martha Graham Dance Company at Jacobs Pillow
  • August 12, 2026 – August 14, 2026: Martha Graham Dance Company will be in residence at Jacobs Pillow and will present a program featuring a world premiere work by Hope Boykin (female), alongside works by Jamar Roberts (male) and Martha Graham (female).
• Bobbi Jene Smith for San Francisco Ballet – Program: Divine Creatures
  • April 8, 2027 – April 14, 2027: San Francisco Ballet will present Divine Creatures, a program featuring a world premiere work by choreographic duo Bobbi Jene Smith (female) and Or Schraiber (male), alongside a work by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui (male).

Leadership Changes

• Chunky Move Announces New Executive Director
  • On April 13, 2026, Chunky Move announced that Suzanne Daley (female) will succeed Kristy Ayre (female) as Executive Director of the company, effective June 2026.
