  • May 7, 2026 – May 17, 2026: Boston Ballet will present Spring Experience 2026, a program featuring a world premiere work by Lia Cirio (female), alongside works by Jerome Robbins (male), and William Forsythe (male).
• Natasha Adorlee for Oklahoma City Ballet – Program: Shorts: A Night of Premieres
  • May 8, 2026 – May 10, 2026: Oklahoma City Ballet will present Shorts: A night of Premieres, a program featuring world premiere works by Natasha Adorlee (female), and Serkan Hasanusta (male) alongside a work by Edward Clug (male).
• Rena Butler for Whim W’him – Program: Spring ‘26
  • May 8, 2026 – May 16, 2026: Whim W’him will present Spring ‘26, a program featuring new works by Rena Butler (female), James Gregg (male), and Olivier Wevers (male).

Female Choreography Commissions, World Premieres, and Programming

• Niamh Rollins and Ashley Taylor for Neville Dance Theatre’s On Pointe Dance Festival
  • May 8, 2026 & May 10, 2026: Neville Dance Theatre will present On Pointe Dance Festival, featuring world premiere works by Niamh Rollins (female) and Ashley Taylor (female), alongside repertory from Neville Dance Company and guest companies.
• Jessica Lang for Pacific Northwest Ballet – Program: All Lang
  • May 29, 2026 – June 7, 2026: Pacific Northwest Ballet will present All Lang, a program featuring a world premiere work by Jessica Lang (female) alongside two additional works by Lang. 
• Penny Saunders for Dance Aspen – Program: CRESCENDO
  • August 27, 2026 – August 28, 2026: Dance Aspen will present CRESCENDO, a program featuring a world premiere work by Penny Saunders (female), alongside works by Samantha Lynch (female), Cayetano Soto (male), and Alejandro Cerrudo (male). 
• Jessica Lang for Pacific Northwest Ballet – Program: Serenade
  • September 25, 2026 – October 4, 2026: Pacific Northwest Ballet will present Serenade, a program featuring a world premiere work by Jessica Lang (female), alongside works by George Balanchine (male) and Alexei Ratmansky (male)
• Stephanie Martinez and Penny Saunders for Richmond Ballet – Program: New Works
  • March 11, 2027 – March 23, 2027: Richmond Ballet will present New Works, a program featuring new works by Nicolas Blanc (male), Stephanie Martinez (female), Ben Needham-Wood (male), and Penny Saunders (female).

Leadership Changes

• Boulder Ballet Announces New Resident Choreographer
  • On April 24, 2026, Boulder Ballet announced that Ching Ching Wong (female) has been appointed as Resident Choreographer of the company. This is a newly created position. 
• Louisville Ballet Announces Departure of CEO
  • On April 30, 2026, Louisville Ballet announced that Leslie Smart (female) will step away from her role as CEO of the company and become a member of the company’s board of directors. A search has been announced for Smart’s successor.
