• Jacalyn Tatro and Vidya Kotamraju for Belle Spirale and Eastside Arts Festival – Program: Dance Deck 2026
  • July 18, 2026 – July 26, 2026: Belle Spirale and Eastside Arts Festival will present Dance Deck 2026, a co-production presenting works by Jacalyn Tatro (female), Vidya Kotamraju (female), Connor McLeary (male), and Will Jessup (male) alongside a performance from The Vancouver Chamber Choir.
• Stephanie Lake Company at Malthouse Theatre – Program: Vista
  • July 22, 2026 – August 1, 2026: Stephanie Lake Company will be in residence at the Malthouse Theatre, presenting Vista, a two-act evening-length work by Stephanie Lake (female).
• Jodie Gates for Dance Theatre of Harlem at BAAND Together Dance Festival
  • July 28, 2026 – August 1, 2026: BAAND Together Dance Festival will present a program featuring a works by five dance organizations, Dance Theatre of Harlem will present a new work by Jodie Gates (female), American Ballet Theatre will present a pas de deux by Claire Davidson (female), New York City Ballet will present a pas de deux by Lar Lubovitch (male), Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will present a work by Judith Jamison (female), and Ballet Hispánico New York will present a recent world premiere by Cassi Abranches (female).

Female Choreography Commissions, World Premieres, and Programming

• Gemma Bond for Hamptons Dance Project VIII
  • August 7, 2026 – August 9, 2026: Hamptons Dance Project will present the 8th annual program, featuring a world premiere work by Gemma Bond (female) alongside works by Jorma Elo (male), Lar Lubovitch (male), Duncan Lyle (male), Benjamin Millepied (male), Justin Peck (male), and James Whiteside (male).

Leadership Changes

• Philadelphia Orchestra Announces New Assistant Conductor
  • On July 1, 2026, the Philadelphia Orchestra announced that Sara Aldana (female) has been appointed as Assistant Conductor, effective September 2026.
• Sydney Opera House Announces Departure of CEO
  • On July 1, 2026, Sydney Opera House announced that Louise Herron (female), will depart her role as CEO effective August 2026. An ‘international recruitment process’ will be conducted to find her successor. 
• National Ballet of Canada Announces New Rehearsal Director
  • On July 7, 2026, National Ballet of Canada announced that Moisés Martín Cintas (male) has been appointed as Rehearsal Director for the 2026/2027 season. 
• Grand Rapids Ballet Announces Permanent CEO
  • On July 7, 2026, Grand Rapids Ballet announced that Leah Voigt (female) will continue serving as CEO of the company in a permanent capacity. Voigt was appointed interim CEO in October 2025, succeeding Mary Jennings (female).
• Charlotte Ballet Announces Executive Director Transition
  • On July 9, 2026, Charlotte Ballet announced that Doug Singleton (male) will step down from his role as Executive Director of the company effective September 30, 2026. The company also announced that Kim Lanphear (female) has been appointed Interim Executive Director. 
• The Washington Ballet Announces Executive Director Appointment
  • On July 9, 2026, The Washington Ballet announced that Doug Singleton (male) has been appointed as Executive Director of the company, effective October 1, 2026.
• AXIS Dance Company Announces Executive Director Transition
  • On July 10, 2026, AXIS Dance Company announced that Holly Million (female) has succeeded Danae Rees (female) as Executive Director of the company.
