- Skyla Schreter for Hudson Valley Dance Festival
- October 8, 2022: The Hudson Valley Dance Festival will present its annual lineup of world-class works, including a world premiere work by Skyla Schreter (female) alongside works by Khadijah Siferllah (female) with Ladies of Hip-Hop Dance Collective, Dorrance Dance, Abdullatif (male), Jonathan Lee (male), Limón Dance Company, Stephen Petronio Company, Adam H. Weinert (male).
- Kristin Young Toner & Victoria Lyras for Indianapolis Ballet – Program: New Works
- November 3, 2022 – November 6, 2022: Indianapolis Ballet will present New Works, a program featuring new works by Kristin Young Toner (female), Victoria Lyras (female), and new works by Indianapolis Ballet Company artists, which have not yet been announced.
- Amy Seiwert for Smuin Contemporary Ballet – Program: Dance Series 2
- April 28, 2023 – May 28, 2023: Smuin Contemporary Ballet will present Dance Series 2, a quadruple bill featuring a world premiere work by Amy Seiwert (female) alongside works by Val Caniparoli (male), Katarzyna Skarpetowska (female), and Michael Smuin (male).

- Kaatsbaan Cultural Park Announces Summer Ballet Intensive 2023 Artistic Director
- October 7, 2022: Kaatsbaan Culture Park announced that Paloma Herrera (female) has been named Artistic Director of the 2023 Ballet Intensive.
- Kaatsbaan Cultural Park Announces New Managing Director
- Kaatsbaan Culture Park has announced that effective October 17, 2022, Tricia Reed (female) will step into the role of Managing Director for the Cultural Park.
- The Yard Appoints Acting Executive Director
- The Yard, a “creation and performance platform” based in Chilmark, Massachusetts has appointed Yvonne Mendez (female) as Acting Executive Director. Mendez succeeds Chloe Jones (female) in the role. This is a female-to-female transition.
- New Jersey Ballet Appoints Interim Artistic Director to Permanent Position
- New Jersey Ballet has appointed Maria Kowroski (female), as the Artistic Director of the company. Kowroski has been acting as Interim Artistic Director since November 2021, and as of September 2022 has officially and permanently succeeded Carolyn Clark (female) in the role.

- The Australian Ballet has announced that Sandra Parker (female), has been chosen as the inaugural resident for the company’s new residency program for established independent artists. Parker will begin her six-week residency at the company starting November 7, 2022.
- Jacob’s Pillow announced the 2022-2023 Pillow Lab Residents
- The ten Pillow Lab 2022-2023 residency recipients have been announced and include artists such as Sonya Tayeh (female) & Jennifer Freeman (female), Mythili Prakash (female), Faye Driscoll (female), Camille A Brown (female), Larissa Velez-Jackson (female), Miguel Gutierrez (male), André Zachery (male), Aakash Odedra (male), and Michael Sakamoto (male).
- Portland Dance Film Festival presents its 2022 Festival Line-Up
- October 7, 2022 – October 9, 2022: Portland Dance Film Festival will present its 2022 line-up which includes works by Jessica Wright (female) & Morgann Runacre-Temple (female), Irishia Hubbard (female), Silvia Giordano (female), Deborah LIght (female), Samantha Matsumoto (female), Ginevra Panzetti (female), Samantha Shay (female), Iwona Pasińska (female), and Ali Kenner Brodsky (female). These works alongside works by various male artists will be presented in three screenings, each with a specific theme.

- The Ellis-Beauregard Foundation announces Choreography Award Recipient
- Faye Driscoll has been announced as the Ellis Beauregard Foundation Contemporary Dance Award Recipient. This award includes a $25,000 prize and an additional $15,000 “to bring a performance of the awardee’s work to a Maine audience”

- Gemma Bond for American Ballet Theater Studio Company Tour
- October 27, 2022 – November 13, 2022: the American Ballet Theater Studio Company will begin their tour, which features a world premiere work by Gemma Bond (female), alongside works by Rena Butler (female), Emily Kikta (female), and Daniel Ulbricht (male) as well as classical repertoire.
- Bryn Cohn for BalletCollective – Program: Fluidity of Time
- November 2, 2022 – November 3, 2022: BalletCollective will present Fluidity of Time, a program featuring world premiere works by Bryn Cohn (female), and Troy Schumacher (male).

- Pacific Northwest Ballet announces new Associate Artistic Director
- September 21, 2022: Pacific Northwest Ballet announced that the company’s current Director of Company Operations, Kiyon Ross (male) has been promoted to the role of Associate Artistic Director.
- Artistic Director of Dayton Ballet to Step Down
- September 27, 2022: Dayton Ballet announced the departure of their artistic director Karen Russo Burke (female) at the end of the 2022/2023 season. Burke held the position of Artistic Director at the company for 10 years. Dayton Performing Arts Alliance has also announced that the search for a new Artistic Director has begun.
- West Australian Ballet announces new Executive Director
- September 27, 2022: the West Australian Ballet Announced that Lauren Major (female) will assume the role of Executive Director of the company effective October 3, 2022. Major succeeds Olivier David (male) in this role. This is a male-to-female transition.
- Parsons Dance announces new Rehearsal Director
- September 28, 2022: Parsons Dance announced that Zoey Anderson (female) will succeed Henry Steele (male) as the company’s rehearsal director. This is a male-to-female transition.

- New School Director at School of Philadelphia Ballet
- Effective August 22, 2022: the School of Philadelphia Ballet announced that Davit Karapetyan (male) would succeed James Payne (male), as the new Director of the school.
- Complexions Contemporary Ballet Announces New Associate Artistic Director
- September 2, 2022: Complexions Contemporary Ballet Announced, through the company Instagram, that effective August 2022 Meg Paul (female) had been appointed as the company’s new associate artistic director.
- American Ballet Theater announces new Studio Company Rehearsal Director
- September 6, 2022: American Ballet Theater announced that Yan Chen (female) has been named Rehearsal Director for the ABT Studio Company. It was also announced that Chen has been named Principal Teacher of the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School pre-professional division.
- A New Resident Choreographer at Ballet Arizona
- September 2022: Ballet Arizona announced that Nayon Iovino (male) has been named resident choreographer for the company.
- Oklahoma City Ballet Announces New Rehearsal Director
- September 9, 2022: Oklahoma City Ballet announced, through the company Instagram, that DaYoung Jung (female) has been appointed as the company’s new rehearsal director. This appointment comes after Jung took her final bow as a company principal dancer in May 2022.

DANCE DATA PROJECT® ANNOUNCES GENDER EQUITY INDEX TO EVALUATE DANCE COMPANIES – A FIRST FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS IN THE U.S.
Today, Dance Data Project® (DDP) is releasing the first-ever Gender Equity Index (GEI) for the U.S. dance industry in specific and performing arts in general. DDP’s GEI is designed to assess how dance companies measure up in terms of commissioning female creators, giving them leadership positions, and fostering a transparent and accountable culture. DDP’s Gender Equity Index is modeled on indices developed by Bloomberg, Equileap, Gender Fair, and ASU’s Women’s Power Index, among others.

- October 6, 2022 – October 15, 2022: Island Moving Company will present Points of Departure, a quadruple bill featuring new works by female choreographers including Colleen Cavanaugh (female), Danielle Genest (female), Francesca Genovese (female), and Tania Pérez-Salas (female).
- Amy Seiwert for BalletX – Program: Winter Series 2023
- March 1, 2023- March 5, 2023: BalletX will present Winter Series 2023, a triple bill featuring world premiere works by Amy Seiwert (female), and Gary W. Jeter II (male), alongside a work by Jorma Elo (male).
- Amy Hall Garner for Collage Dance Collective – Program: Their Eyes Were Watching God
- April 28, 2023 – April 30, 2023: Collage Dance Collective will present Their Eyes Were Watching God, a program named for the title of the newest work by Amy Hall Garner (female) and Kevin Thomas (male). This world premiere work will be presented alongside works by Francisco Avina (male) and Joshua Manculich (male).

- Dance Theater of Harlem Announces New Artistic Director
- September 15, 2022: Dance Theater of Harlem announced that Artistic Director Virginia Johnson (female) would retire at the end of the company’s 2022-23 season. The company also announced that effective July 1, 2023, Robert Garland (male) will succeed Johnson as Artistic Director. This is a female-to-male transition.
- Dance Theater of Harlem School Announces New Director
- September 15, 2022: Dance Theater of Harlem announced that the current director of the school has been named Artistic Director of the main company, thus leaving the position of school director vacant. Effective July 1, 2023, Tai Jimenez (female) will succeed Robert Garland (male) as the new Director of the Dance Theater of Harlem School. This is a male-to-female transition.
- Batsheva Dance Company Announces New Artistic Director
- August 2022: Batsheva Dance Company announced that Lior Avizoor (female) would succeed Gili Navot (female) as Artistic Director of the company.

- September 6, 2022: Ballets Jazz Montréal announced through their social media that Ching Ching Wong (female) and Andrew Murdock (male) are the company’s new rehearsal directors.

- September 8, 2022: Richard Witten, Chairman of the Board of Directors of New York City Center, announced the appointment of Michael S. Rosenberg (male) as the new President and CEO of New York City Center effective November 1, 2022. Rosenberg succeeds Arlene Shuler (female), who announced her departure from the role in December 2021. This is a female-to-male transition.
