- Annie Rigney for Ririe Woodbury Dance Company – Program: Traverse
- January 15, 2026 – January 17, 2026: Ririe Woodbury Dance Company will present Traverse, a program featuring a world premiere work by Choreographic Canvas commissioned artist Annie Rigney (female) alongside new works by company dancers.
- Alice Klock and Emilie Leriche for Whim W’him – Program: Winter ‘26
- January 16, 2026 – January 24, 2026: Whim W’him will present Winter ‘26, A program featuring new creations by Alice Klock (female) & Florian Lochner (male), Emilie Leriche (female), and Olivier Wevers (male).
Female Choreography Commissions, World Premieres, and Programming
- Virginie Brunelle, Dominique Dumais, and Sofia Nappi for Gauthier Dance at the Holland Dance Festival- Program: FireWorks
- February 5, 2026 – February 11, 2026: Gauthier Dance will be in residence at the Holland Dance Festival and will present FireWorks, a program in two parts. The first part features new works by Mauro Bigonzetti (male), Virginie Brunelle (female), Stijn Celis (male), Dominique Dumais (female), Marco Goecke (male), Johan Inger (male), Barak Marshall (male), Benjamin Millepied (male), and Sofia Nappi (female). The second part features works by Alejandro Cerrudo (male) and Eric Gauthier (male).
- Amy Hall Garner for Carolina Ballet – Program: Carmen Suite
- February 5, 2026 – February 22, 2026: Carolina Ballet will present Carmen Suite, a program featuring a world premiere work by Amy Hall Garner (female), alongside a work by Zalman Raffael (male).
- Gabrielle Lamb for Rochester City Ballet – Program: Next Up
- On February 28, 2026: Rochester City Ballet will present Next Up, a program featuring a world premiere work by Gabrielle Lamb (female), alongside additional works.
- Dorchel Haqq, Ariel Lembeck, Cristina Moya-Palacios, and Sacha Vega for New York Live Arts – Program: Fresh Tracks 2025-2026 New Works
- May 15, 2026 – May 16, 2026: New York Live Arts will present Fresh Tracks 2025-2026 New Works, a program featuring new works by Dorchel Haqq (female), Ariel Lembeck (female), Cristina Moya-Palacios (female), Dahlia Qumhiyeh (female), and Sacha Vega (female).
Leadership Changes
- Zurich Opera House Announces New General Music Director
- On December 22, 2025: Zurich Opera House announced that, effective August 2028, Lorenzo Viotti (male) will succeed Gianandrea Noseda (male) as General Music Director
- Dallas Black Dance Theatre Launches Search for New Executive Director
- On December 31, 2025: Dallas Black Dance Theatre announced that the company, advised by the President Emeritus of the John F. Kennedy Center of Performing Arts, and a Five-Member Committee including nonprofit leaders and board members, will search for the next Executive Director.
- The Ballet of the San Carlo Theatre Announces New Artistic Director
- On January 5, 2026: the Ballet of the San Carlo Theatre in Naples announced that Renato Zanella (male) will succeed Clotilde Vayer (female) as Artistic Director of the Ballet.
