SUMMARY:Arkansas Arts Council Individual Artist Fellowship
DESCRIPTION:The Individual Artist Fellowship program annually awards to up to 18 creatives in six categories of grants that recognize their accomplishments as mid- and advanced-career creatives. The program traditionally had three categories but expanded in 2021\, thanks to funding from the Windgate Foundation. \nFellowship grants are $5\,000 each and are unconditional grants that require no matching funds and are made directly to individual creatives. The grants recognize creatives who live and work in Arkansas and who make an impact through their creative works. The grant does not fund a specific project but allows creatives the opportunity to devote more time and energy to creating and mastering their creative craft. \nFellowship applications open online Friday\, Dec. 30\, 2022 and close at 5 p.m. Friday\, April 14\, 2023. An independent panel of creatives will select recipients. Selected creatives will be recognized during a special reception and celebration in Fall 2023. All work submitted as part of the Fellowship grant program must have been created within the past five years. \nDEADLINE: April 14\, 2023

SUMMARY:Copenhagen International Choreography Competition
DESCRIPTION:The Copenhagen International Choreography Competition (CICC) is a platform to discover and promote emerging contemporary choreographers. \n\nAll participants\, including dancers and choreographers\, are required to have professional experience.\nChoreographers must be under 40 years of age.\nThe competition is open to solos\, duets\, trios\, and group pieces up to five performers.\nChoreographer’s may perform in their own work.\nThe work can be created by multiple choreographers. (All the choreographer’s information should be mentioned on the online application)\nSubject and music of all pieces is open to the choreographer. Please note that the competition is focused on contemporary works.\nThe work should be between 5 and 15 minutes long.\nA link to a complete online recording of the piece you wish to present at the Choreography Competition 2023 should be included along the online application. (Trailer video will not be considered)\nSubmitted works must have been choreographed after June 30th\, 2021.\nIf you are applying with a new creation\, a link to a complete rehearsal recording of the piece you wish to present at the Choreography Competition 2023 should be included along the online application. (Work in process and studio recording are acceptable)\nThose involved in the event should be available for both performing days and necessary rehearsals free of charge.
