SUMMARY:Atlantic Center for the Arts Mentoring Artist-in-Residence Program
DESCRIPTION:The three-week Residency Program brings together three “Mentoring Artists” from different disciplines\, such as the visual arts (painting\, sculpture\, photography\, film/video\, and multimedia)\, architecture\, music (composition and performance)\, literature\, choreography\, dance\, performance art\, and theater. Each Mentoring Artist determines the requirements and basic structure of their residency\, and through an online application process\, they each may select up to eight “Associate Artists” to participate in the three-week program. The essence of the program is to provide a collegial environment for artists of all disciplines where they can engage in meaningful interaction and stimulating discussions\, while pursuing individual or group projects. It is an ideal setting for the exchange of ideas\, the inspiration for new work\, and the cross-fertilization of disciplines. The programs can include formal classes\, discussions\, individual meetings\, individual and group critiques\, collaboration\, and studio time. The award-winning Leeper Studio Complex provides residents with resources such as a painting studio\, sculpture studio\, digital media studio\, dance studio\, music/recording studio\, writers’ studio\, black box theatre and library. \nAll residency fees\, room\, and board are waived; this does not include travel\, transportation\, and artist materials US and international artists. SUMMARY:Arkansas Arts Council Individual Artist Fellowship
DESCRIPTION:The Individual Artist Fellowship program annually awards to up to 18 creatives in six categories of grants that recognize their accomplishments as mid- and advanced-career creatives. The program traditionally had three categories but expanded in 2021\, thanks to funding from the Windgate Foundation. \nFellowship grants are $5\,000 each and are unconditional grants that require no matching funds and are made directly to individual creatives. The grants recognize creatives who live and work in Arkansas and who make an impact through their creative works. DESCRIPTION:The NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship is a $7\,000 unrestricted cash grant available to artists living in New York State and/or one of the Indian Nations located therein. \nThis grant is awarded in fifteen different disciplines over a three-year period (five categories a year) and the application is free to complete. The NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship is not a project grant\, but is intended to fund an artist’s vision or voice\, at all levels of their artistic development. \nEligibility Requirements: \nAge 25 or older; resident of New York State/Indigenous nation located therein; cannot be enrolled in a degree program; are originators of the work\, have not recieved NYFA fellowship in the past five years; cannot submit any work samples that have been previously awarded a NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship; number of collaborators has to be less than 3; are not a current NYFA employee or have been in the last 12 months\, a member of the NYFA Board of Trustees or Artists’ Advisory Committee\, immediate family member of any of the aforementioned\, or an immediate family member of a 2021-2022 panelist; must not have recieved more than 5 NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowships.  \nDEADLINE: January 25\, 2023

SUMMARY:Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation Creative Fellowships Millary Colony for the Arts
DESCRIPTION:Mid Atlantic Arts Creative Fellowships provide artists with the time and space to create. Hosted in partnership with Millay Arts and Virginia Center for the Creative Arts\, writers\, composers\, and visual artists can apply for two-week\, or one-month residencies underwritten by Mid Atlantic. \nCreative Fellows receive $3\,500 or $1\,750 (depending on the length of stay) in support of their residency.  The grant is paid to the respective residency program directly on behalf of the artist.  In addition\, Fellows receive up to $250 in reimbursement for the cost of travel to and from their residency. SUMMARY:Rotterdam International Duet Choreography Competition
DESCRIPTION:In June 2023 international dance talent from all over the world will travel to Rotterdam for the fifth edition of the Rotterdam International Duet Choreography Competition (RIDCC). Sixteen choreographic talents present multi-styled\, innovative\, and remarkable duets\, while competing for outstanding awards. RIDCC offer various great opportunities and possibilities to choreographers to enter the dance field in a professional manner\, we aspire to be the best possible springboard for choreographic talent. \nRIDCC accepts duets ( 2 persons on stage ) with a length of minimum 7 and maximum 12 minutes only. RIDCC is open for all styles. Choreographers may participate in the competition with a duet piece (a max of two performers on stage) that hasn’t been performed on stage for the first time before March 2019. The duration of the performance can’t be longer than 12 minutes. The applicant is free in choice of subject and music. The piece may be interpreted by the choreographer him/herself. \nXL Production Award: 100.000 euro prize that enables the choreographer to create a professional production; other smaller awards and company-sponsored recognitions. \nDEADLINE: Opens December 1\, 2022

The programs can include formal classes\, discussions\, individual meetings\, individual and group critiques\, collaboration\, and studio time.
