SUMMARY:Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation Creative Fellowships Millary Colony for the Arts
DESCRIPTION:Mid Atlantic Arts Creative Fellowships provide artists with the time and space to create. DESCRIPTION:In June 2023 international dance talent from all over the world will travel to Rotterdam for the fifth edition of the Rotterdam International Duet Choreography Competition (RIDCC). Sixteen choreographic talents present multi-styled\, innovative\, and remarkable duets\, while competing for outstanding awards. RIDCC offer various great opportunities and possibilities to choreographers to enter the dance field in a professional manner\, we aspire to be the best possible springboard for choreographic talent. \nRIDCC accepts duets ( 2 persons on stage ) with a length of minimum 7 and maximum 12 minutes only. RIDCC is open for all styles. Choreographers may participate in the competition with a duet piece (a max of two performers on stage) that hasn’t been performed on stage for the first time before March 2019. The duration of the performance can’t be longer than 12 minutes. The applicant is free in choice of subject and music. DESCRIPTION:The Joffrey Academy of Dance\, Official School of The Joffrey Ballet\, announces a national call for ALAANA (African\, Latinx\, Asian\, Arab and Native American) artists to submit applications for the Joffrey Academy’s Annual Winning Works Choreographic Competition in 2023. The winning choreographers will be awarded a $5\,000 stipend and given a minimum of 30 rehearsal hours. \n\nThe Joffrey Ballet is looking for talented ALANNA choreographers with 2 or more years of experience setting work on classically trained dancers. SUMMARY:Hodder Fellowship
DESCRIPTION:The Hodder Fellowship will be given to artists and writers of exceptional promise to pursue independent projects at Princeton University during the academic year. Potential Hodder Fellows are composers\, choreographers\, performance artists\, visual artists\, writers\, translators\, or other kinds of artists or humanists who have “much more than ordinary intellectual and literary gifts”; they are selected more “for promise than for performance. Given the strength of the applicant pool\, most successful Fellows have published a first book or have similar achievements in their own fields; the Hodder is designed to provide Fellows with the “studious leisure” to undertake significant new work. \nHodder Fellows spend an academic year at Princeton\, but no formal teaching is involved. An $86\,000 stipend is provided for this 10-month appointment as a Visiting Fellow. Fellowships are not intended to fund work leading to an advanced degree. One need not be a U.S. citizen to apply. \n\n\n\n\n\nThe next application cycle will begin on July 1\, 2022.

SUMMARY:Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation Creative Fellowships Millay Colony for the Arts
DESCRIPTION:Mid Atlantic Arts Creative Fellowships provide artists with the time and space to create. Hosted in partnership with Millay Arts and Virginia Center for the Creative Arts\, writers\, composers\, and visual artists can apply for two-week or one-month residencies underwritten by Mid Atlantic. \nCreative Fellows receive $3\,500 or $1\,750 (depending on the length of stay) in support of their residency.  The grant is paid to the respective residency program directly on behalf of the artist. In addition\, Fellows receive up to $250 in reimbursement for the cost of travel to and from their residency. Artists who reside in Delaware\, Maryland\, New York\, West Virginia\, District of Columbia\, New Jersey\, Pennsylvania\, Virginia\, and the U.S. Virgin Islands are eligible. \nDEADLINE: May 15\, 2022 for January-April residencies

DESCRIPTION:The Ballett Gesellschaft Hannover e.V. has been organizing the ‘International Choreographic Competition Hannover’\, which is unique in Europe\, for 39 years. During this long period it has become an important factor in the national and international dance landscape. There are many dance competitions\, but the ‘International Choreographic Competition Hannover’ is the longest-running choreography competition in the WORLD! The internationality of the applicants – on average\, over 400 choreographers from over 50 nations take part – as well as the high-caliber jury show the high status it enjoys in international dance. \nPrizes range from € 6000 to € 1000. Choreographers must have professional training\, be under 40 years old\, with choreography between 5-12 minutes. Any solos must not be performed by the choreographer.  \nDEADLINE: April 15\, 2022
