SUMMARY:Atlantic Center for the Arts Mentoring Artist-in-Residence Program
DESCRIPTION:The three-week Residency Program brings together three “Mentoring Artists” from different disciplines\, such as the visual arts (painting\, sculpture\, photography\, film/video\, and multimedia)\, architecture\, music (composition and performance)\, literature\, choreography\, dance\, performance art\, and theater. Each Mentoring Artist determines the requirements and basic structure of their residency\, and through an online application process\, they each may select up to eight “Associate Artists” to participate in the three-week program. The essence of the program is to provide a collegial environment for artists of all disciplines where they can engage in meaningful interaction and stimulating discussions\, while pursuing individual or group projects. It is an ideal setting for the exchange of ideas\, the inspiration for new work\, and the cross-fertilization of disciplines. The programs can include formal classes\, discussions\, individual meetings\, individual and group critiques\, collaboration\, and studio time. The award-winning Leeper Studio Complex provides residents with resources such as a painting studio\, sculpture studio\, digital media studio\, dance studio\, music/recording studio\, writers’ studio\, black box theatre and library. \nAll residency fees\, room\, and board are waived; this does not include travel\, transportation\, and artist materials US and international artists. DESCRIPTION:The Hodder Fellowship will be given to artists and writers of exceptional promise to pursue independent projects at Princeton University during the academic year. Potential Hodder Fellows are composers\, choreographers\, performance artists\, visual artists\, writers\, translators\, or other kinds of artists or humanists who have “much more than ordinary intellectual and literary gifts”; they are selected more “for promise than for performance. Given the strength of the applicant pool\, most successful Fellows have published a first book or have similar achievements in their own fields; the Hodder is designed to provide Fellows with the “studious leisure” to undertake significant new work. \nHodder Fellows spend an academic year at Princeton\, but no formal teaching is involved. An $86\,000 stipend is provided for this 10-month appointment as a Visiting Fellow. Fellowships are not intended to fund work leading to an advanced degree. One need not be a U.S. citizen to apply. \n\n\n\n\n\nThe next application cycle will begin on July 1\, 2022.

SUMMARY:Arkansas Arts Council Individual Artist Fellowship
DESCRIPTION:The Arts Council will award up to 18 Fellowships in six categories in 2022. Fellowships are unconditional\, non-matching grants made directly to individual\, Arkansas artists. Awarded annually\, these fellowships recognize the artistic creative excellence of the recipient’s work and enable the selected artists to devote more time and energy to creating their art and mastering their craft. Recipients of the award earn $5\,000 each in unmatched funding. The award encourages and recognizes individual Arkansas creatives whose work is exceptional. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nArtists must be 21 and an Arkansas resident. SUMMARY:Hanover International Choreographic Competition
DESCRIPTION:The Ballett Gesellschaft Hannover e.V. has been organizing the ‘International Choreographic Competition Hannover’\, which is unique in Europe\, for 39 years. During this long period it has become an important factor in the national and international dance landscape. There are many dance competitions\, but the ‘International Choreographic Competition Hannover’ is the longest-running choreography competition in the WORLD! The internationality of the applicants – on average\, over 400 choreographers from over 50 nations take part – as well as the high-caliber jury show the high status it enjoys in international dance. \nPrizes range from € 6000 to € 1000. SUMMARY:Atlantic Center for the Arts Mentoring Artist-in-Residence Program
DESCRIPTION:The three-week Residency Program brings together three “Master Artists” from different disciplines\, such as the visual arts (painting\, sculpture\, photography\, film/video\, and multimedia)\, architecture\, music (composition and performance)\, literature\, choreography\, dance\, performance art\, and theater. Each Master Artist determines the requirements and basic structure of their residency\, and through an online application process\, they each may select up to eight “Associate Artists” to participate in the three-week program.  \n  \nResidency Fees: Due to COVID-19 and the immense stress it has put on artists\, ACA is offering FULL scholarships to all accepted artists.  All residency fees\, room\, and board are waived; this does not include travel\, transportation\, and artist materials. \n  \nEligibility:\n\nOpen to all artists (US and International)\nLanguage Requirement: a basic command of the English language is necessary.\nApplicants must be at least 21 years old at the time of the residency\nOvernight guests\, spouses\, children\, and pets are not permitted to stay in housing during the residency.
