SUMMARY:South Arts Individual Artist Career Opportunity Grant
DESCRIPTION:The Individual Artist Career Opportunity Grant supports a milestone opportunity in an individual artist’s career that is likely to lead to substantial and significant career advancement. Grants of up to $2\,000 are available to support eligible proposed and completed (retroactive) opportunities taking place between July 1\, 2023\, and June 30\, 2024. \nEligibility: \n\nBe an individual artist working in one of the following artistic disciplines: visual arts\, craft\, traditional arts/folklife\, photography\, performing arts\, literary arts\, media arts\, interdisciplinary arts or multimedia arts\nBe at least 18 years of age\nCannot be a matriculated student in a graduate\, undergraduate\, or high school program\nBe a United States citizen\, lawfully admitted to the U.S. for permanent residence\, or have permission from the Department of Homeland Security to work permanently in the U.S.\nBe a resident of the South Arts Region: Alabama\, Florida\, Georgia\, Kentucky\, Louisiana\, Mississippi\, North Carolina\, South Carolina\, or Tennessee\nExpect to maintain residency in the region during the award period. Applicants may be asked to submit a copy of their official state I.D./driver’s license as proof of residency later in the process as verification of eligibility\nSubmit a complete and accurate application\n\nAPPLICATION OPENS: July 15\, 2024

SUMMARY:Art Space Is Your Space
DESCRIPTION:The Wave Pool Art Space Is Your Space Program awards sponsored residencies to local\, national\, and international artists interested in engaging Cincinnati with their artistic practice. Residencies of 2-6 weeks include flexible live/work studio space\, a month long exhibition in our gallery (when appropriate)\, opportunities for artistic community engagement and programming\, and a $2000 stipend for the project (which includes living/travel expenses). Residents become part of the dynamic artistic community of Cincinnati\, Ohio and are asked to engage the community in at least one public workshop\, program\, or performance during their stay. \nWave Pool’s artist in residency program is unique in that the artists stay in our Residency apartment onsite\, just across the street from our gallery space. The successful candidate will conduct a project aimed at a specific audience and/or purpose within our diverse urban climate. \nResidencies of 2-6 weeks include flexible live/work studio space\, a month-long exhibition in our gallery (when appropriate)\, opportunities for artistic community engagement and programming\, and a $2000 stipend for the project (which includes living/travel expenses). \n\nDEADLINE: Friday\, September 20
