SUMMARY:Andrew W. Mellon Foundation Grant
DESCRIPTION:The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation believes that the arts and humanities are where we express our complex humanity. Through our grants\, we seek to build just communities enriched by meaning and empowered by critical thinking\, where ideas and imagination can thrive. \nIn its Arts and Culture program\, Mellon makes grants to institutions and organizations in support of communities and individual artists. Mellon does not make grants directly to individuals\, although we do support regranting programs that benefit individuals. All grants result from invitations issued by Mellon to institutions with which staff have engaged in preliminary exchanges. While we are unable to consider uninvited proposals\, qualifying organizations are welcome to submit inquiries via our Grants Portal. \n\n\n\n\n\nDEADLINE: Rolling

SUMMARY:Sadie-Rose Residency Program
DESCRIPTION:The Sadie-Rose Residency Program provides one week of rehearsal space (up to 6 hours a day based on studio availability) for selected choreographers. In addition\, each artist-in-residence will engage with our local community by teaching one movement class that is open to the public. SpectorDance will also provide housing with a local family if available\, but we will not provide food or travel stipends. Because housing is a challenge for us\, we can accommodate solo and duet artists only. Those interested in attending with more artists will need to provide your own housing. \nInterested Choreographers: Please contact Fran Spector Atkins for information and application process. \n\n\n\n\n\nDEADLINE: Rolling

SUMMARY:MacDowell Colony Residency
DESCRIPTION:MacDowell is the nation’s leading artist residency program. MacDowell nurtures the arts by offering creative individuals of the highest talent an inspiring environment in which they can produce enduring works of the imagination. \nAbout 300 artists in seven disciplines are awarded Fellowships each year and the sole criterion for acceptance is artistic excellence. There are no residency fees. Need-based travel grants and stipends are available to open the residency experience to the broadest possible community of artists. Artists with professional standing in their fields\, as well as emerging artists\, are eligible to apply. MacDowell encourages artists from all backgrounds and all countries in the following disciplines: architecture\, film/video arts\, interdisciplinary arts\, literature\, music composition\, theatre\, and visual arts. Any applicant whose proposed project does not fall clearly within one of these artistic disciplines should contact the admissions department for guidance. We aim to be inclusive\, not exclusive in our admissions process. The application period will open in August. \n\n\n\n\n\nDEADLINE: September 10\, 2023

Applicants should be early career visual artists\, filmmakers\, poets\, novelists\, playwrights\, designers\, directors\, and performance artists who would find it beneficial to spend two years teaching and working in an artistically vibrant university community.
