SUMMARY:NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship
DESCRIPTION:The NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship is a $7\,000 unrestricted cash grant available to artists living in New York State and/or one of the Indian Nations located therein. \nThis grant is awarded in fifteen different disciplines over a three-year period (five categories a year) and the application is free to complete. The NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship is not a project grant\, but is intended to fund an artist’s vision or voice\, at all levels of their artistic development. \nEligibility Requirements: \nAge 25 or older; resident of New York State/Indigenous nation located therein; cannot be enrolled in a degree program; are originators of the work\, have not recieved NYFA fellowship in the past five years; cannot submit any work samples that have been previously awarded a NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship; number of collaborators has to be less than 3; are not a current NYFA employee or have been in the last 12 months\, a member of the NYFA Board of Trustees or Artists’ Advisory Committee\, immediate family member of any of the aforementioned\, or an immediate family member of a 2021-2022 panelist; must not have recieved more than 5 NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowships.  \nDEADLINE: January 25\, 2023
