In June 2023 international dance talent from all over the world will travel to Rotterdam for the fifth edition of the Rotterdam International Duet Choreography Competition (RIDCC). Sixteen choreographic talents present multi-styled, innovative, and remarkable duets, while competing for outstanding awards. RIDCC offer various great opportunities and possibilities to choreographers to enter the dance field in a professional manner, we aspire to be the best possible springboard for choreographic talent.

RIDCC accepts duets ( 2 persons on stage ) with a length of minimum 7 and maximum 12 minutes only. RIDCC is open for all styles. Choreographers may participate in the competition with a duet piece (a max of two performers on stage) that hasn’t been performed on stage for the first time before March 2019. The duration of the performance can’t be longer than 12 minutes. The applicant is free in choice of subject and music. The piece may be interpreted by the choreographer him/herself.

XL Production Award: 100.000 euro prize that enables the choreographer to create a professional production; other smaller awards and company-sponsored recognitions.
