New York Choreographic Institute Residency

June 1, 2023

The New York Choreographic Institute (NYCI) provides time, space, and resources for artists to advance both the process and practice of ballet today. The following benefits are provided for Fall and Spring Session participants:

  • Travel to and from New York, housing accommodation during the two-week session, and per diem
  • Approximately three hours per day of rehearsal time in New York City Ballet’s rehearsal studios with either New York City Ballet dancers (October) or advanced students from the School of American Ballet (March)
  • Opportunity to attend live performances at some of New York’s most renowned arts institutions
  • The production of a dance film for each new ballet created with NYCI
  • An informal showing of the works-in-progress for an invited audience
