April 15, 2022

The Ballett Gesellschaft Hannover e.V. has been organizing the ‘International Choreographic Competition Hannover’, which is unique in Europe, for 39 years. During this long period it has become an important factor in the national and international dance landscape. There are many dance competitions, but the ‘International Choreographic Competition Hannover’ is the longest-running choreography competition in the WORLD! The internationality of the applicants – on average, over 400 choreographers from over 50 nations take part – as well as the high-caliber jury show the high status it enjoys in international dance.

Prizes range from € 6000 to € 1000. Choreographers must have professional training, be under 40 years old, with choreography between 5-12 minutes. Any solos must not be performed by the choreographer.
