- Alysa Pires and Jennifer Archibald for New York City Ballet – Programs: Fall Fashion Gala & Contemporary Choreography I
- On October 1, 2025, New York City Ballet will present its annual Fall Fashion Gala, featuring world premiere works by Jennifer Archibald (female), and Alysa Pires (female). Those world premiere works will also be featured in Contemporary Choreography I alongside works by Justin Peck (male) and Kyle Abraham (male) through October 14, 2026.
- Crystal Pite for Festival Aperto 2026
- October 1, 2026 – October 4, 2026: Festival Aperto will present a world premiere site-specific work by Crystal Pite (female) featuring dancers from Kidd Pivot and Nederlands Dans Theater.
- Mathilde Monnier for Ballet de l’Opéra national du Rhin – Program: The Wall
- October 1, 2026 – November 6, 2026: Ballet de l’Opéra national du Rhin will present The Wall, A program featuring a new creation by Mathilde Monnier (female), with an original composition by Eve Risser (female), and set design by Annie Tolleter (female).
- Jess & Morgs for Sadler’s Wells – Program: DEEPFAKE
- October 1, 2026 – October 3, 2026: Sadler’s Wells will present DEEPFAKE, a world premiere evening-length work by choreographic duo Morgann Runacre-Temple (female), and Jessica Wright (female).
- Claire Voss for Queensland Ballet – Program: Bespoke 2026
- October 2, 2026 – October 17, 2026: Queensland Ballet will present Bespoke 2026, a program featuring world premiere works by Claire Voss (female), Victor Zarallo (male), and Daniel Jaber (male).
- Alice Klock for Charlotte Ballet – Program: Black Box Series
- October 2, 2026 – October 17, 2026: Charlotte Ballet will present Black Box Series, a program featuring a world premiere work by choreographic duo Alice Klock (female) and Florian Lochner (male), alongside works by Mthuthuzeli November (male) and Alejandro Cerrudo (male).
- Ava Campbell for Pony Cam at Fall for Dance Festival
- October 2, 2026-October 3, 2026: Fall for Dance Festival will present Program 5, a program featuring a world premiere work by collective company members of Pony Cam, Claire Bird (gender expansive), Ava Campbell (female), William Strom (male), Dominic Weintraub (male), and Hugo Williams (gender expansive). The program will also feature works by Alexei Ratmansky and Stephanie Lake (female).
- Michelle Reid for Cape Ballet Africa – Program: Elysium
- October 3, 2026 – October 11, 2026: Cape Ballet Africa will present Elysium, a program featuring new works by Michelle Reid (female) and Kenneth Tindall (male), alongside works by George Balanchine (male) and Nacho Duato (male).
Female Choreography Commissions, World Premieres, and Programming
- Minnie Lane for Renversons Dance – Program: THE INHERITANCE
- November 11, 2026 – November 13, 2026: Renversons Dance will present THE INHERITANCE, a world premiere work by Minnie Lane (female) in collaboration with writer and dramaturg Emily DeMaioNewton (female), and composer Julia Kent (female).
- Aina Oki and Yuika Fujimoto for Tulsa Ballet – Program: Continuum
- On November 20, 2026, Tulsa Ballet will present Continuum, a program featuring world premiere works by Aina Oki (female), Yuika Fujimoto (female), and Jonathan Beloli (male) alongside additional repertory. TBII will also perform a new work by Natasha Adorlee (female).
Leadership Changes
- Finnish National Ballet Announces Departure of Ballet Director
- On September 21, 2026, the Finnish National Ballet announced that Ballet Director Javier Torres (male) will end his contract effective July 2027. No successor has been announced as of the date of this post.
