- The Smithsonian to Present Moveius Contemporary Ballet – Program: Marquee
- On August 10, 2025: Moveius Contemporary Ballet will be in residence at the Smithsonian to present Marquee, a new work by Diana Movius (female).
- Roza Moshtaghi for Danish Dance Theatre – Program: Survive
- August 12, 2025 – August 16, 2025: Danish Dance Theatre will present Survive, a program featuring choreography by Roza Moshtaghi (female).
- Sophie Laplane for the Scottish Ballet – Program: Mary, Queen of Scots
- On August 15, 2025: the Scottish Ballet will present Mary, Queen of Scots, a world-premiere evening-length work by Choreographer in Residence Sophie Laplane (female) at the Edinburgh International Festival.
Female Choreography Commissions, World Premieres, and Programming
- Julia Feldman for Sacramento Ballet – Program: Connections
- October 24, 2025 – November 2, 2025: Sacramento Ballet will present Connections, a program featuring creations by Julia Feldman (female), Anthony Krutzkamp (male), and R. Colby Damon (male).
Leadership Changes
- Tulsa Ballet Announces New Executive Director
- On July 31, 2025: Tulsa Ballet announced that Stacey Jenkins (female) has been appointed as Executive Director of the company. Jenkins succeeds Scott Black (male), who has served as Managing Director for the company for 16 years.
- West Australian Ballet Announces New Artistic Director
- On August 7, 2025: West Australian Ballet announced that former principal dancer and rehearsal director, Leanne Stojmenov (female), has been appointed as the new Artistic Director of the company. Stojmenov succeeds Guest Artistic Director David McAllister (male) in the role effective January 2026.
- Sarasota Ballet School Announces New Principal
- On August 5, 2025: Sarasota Ballet School announced that Alberto Blanco (male) has been appointed as Principal of the school. Blanco succeeds Jennifer Welch Cudnik (female).
- Eastern Connecticut Ballet Announces New Executive Director
- On August 7, 2025: Eastern Connecticut Ballet announced that Ashley Bouder (female) has been appointed as Executive Director of the company.
