• Rena Butler, Rosie Herrera, Micaela Taylor, and Yue Yin for Boston DanceTheater – Program: Strong Women of Today
  • April 3, 2026 – April 4, 2026: Boston Dance Theater will present Strong Women of Today, a program featuring commissioned works by Rena Butler (female), Rosie Herrera (female), Micaela Taylor (female), and Yue Yin (female).
• Minnie Lane and Adriana Pierce for Renversions Dance – Program: Origins
  • April 3rd, 2026 – April 4th, 2026: Renversions Dance will present Origins, a program featuring world premiere works by Minnie Lane (female), and Adriana Pierce (female).

Female Choreography Commissions, World Premieres, and Programming

• Jawole WIlla Jo Zollar for the Gibney Company at the Joyce
  • April 7, 2026 – April 12, 2026: the Gibney Company will be in residence at the Joyce Theater, presenting a program featuring a world premiere work by Jawole Willa Jo Zollar (female), alongside works by Lucinda Childs (female), Medhi Walerski (male), and Mthuthuzeli November (male).
• Ekko Greenbaum for Lam Dance Works – Program: Forward
  • May 15, 2026 – May 16, 2026: Lam Dance Works will present Forward, a program featuring world premiere works by Ekko Greenbaum (female), Yury Yanowsky (male), and James Greggand (male), alongside works by Alessandro Giaquinto (male), Ken Ossola (male), and Jacopo Godani (male).
• Yuka Oba-Muschiana for Grand Rapids Ballet – Program: Fancy Free
  • April 23, 2027 – May 3, 2027: Grand Rapids Ballet will present Fancy Free, a program featuring a world premiere work by Yuka Oba-Muschiana (female), alongside works by Jerome Robbins (male), and Justin Peck (male).

Leadership Changes

• BAM Announces New President
  • On March 19, 2026: BAM announced that Tamara McCaw (female) has been appointed as President of the organization. McCaw succeeds Gina Duncan (female), who departed the organization in June 2025.
• Sydney Dance Company Announces Planned Departure of Artistic Director
  • On March 24, 2026: Sydney Dance Company announced that Artistic Director Rafael Bonachela (male) will depart the company in 2028. No successor has been named as of the date of this post. 
• Urban Bush Women Announce Executive Director Transition
  • On March 24, 2026: Urban Bush Women announced that Michele Kumi Baer (female) will depart the company on April 1, 2026. Michelle Dorant (female) will take on the role of Executive Director in an interim capacity. 
• Sacramento Ballet Announces New Artistic Director
• • On March 25, 2026: Sacramento Ballet announced that Tiit Helimets (male) has been appointed as Artistic Director, following the departure of former artistic director Anthony Krutzkamp (male) in August 2025.
